The compact VOC removal system aims to achieve annual energy savings of approximately 20 million yen per drying equipment unit. For approximately 40 years, Murata Manufacturing has been utilizing CAE software that was developed in-house to support its development and design efforts. This CAE software is called "Femtet" and is based on the finite element method, which supports eight fields of analysis including stress, electromagnetic waves, and fluids. Femtet has also been commercially available outside of Murata since 2008.
