Although the amount of communication data is small, communication over 10 km is possible. LPWA is attracting attention as the fundamental technology behind the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technologies in the smartification of factories, logistics, agriculture, housing, life infrastructure, and other facilities. We explain in this article LPWA utilization examples and Murata Manufacturing’s LPWA modules.
