Noise suppression technologies/case study introduction (Automotive)
For automotive LANs Suppression of noise in CANs using common mode choke coils (4) BCI test evaluation
BCI tests Measurement environment
Test level | Closed-loop method, 100 mA |
---|---|
Test frequencies | 1 MHz to 400 MHz |

Evaluation items | Common mode choke coils (DLW43SH510XK2 / DLW43SH101XK2) |

BCI tests, Table of equipment used
BCI test results
BCI tests were conducted as per the closed-loop method (100 mA).

Malfunctioning was suppressed by adding choke coils in the DLW43SH series.
(100 mA was cleared at all frequencies (1 MHz to 400 MHz).)
Summary of BCI test results
When no filter was used, malfunctioning occurred at frequencies from 4 MHz to 15 MHz, but when common mode choke coils were added, the malfunctioning was suppressed.
With the DLW43SH series, malfunctioning was suppressed, and 100 mA was cleared at all frequencies (1 MHz to 400 MHz).
