Unique Architecture for Buck Regulators Reduces Size and Increases Efficiency

“Smaller size and more efficient” are common objectives sought by many of our customers. When it comes to Murata’s power conversion products, our power design team have developed solutions leading to a 2x reduction in footprint and a one-third reduction in height, with significant improvement in efficiency, transient performance and EMI. Murata’s step-level increase in performance, the result of a unique two-stage architecture that uses many low voltage FETs throughout the powertrain in a complex arrangement, enables thinner and more mobile designs, with improved packing density and efficiency.
